Ashley and Zach came in from Houston, Texas, for an epic mountain top engagement session in Colorado with me!  Zach proposed to Ashley while touring Germany- they love the European look, so Vail Village was a must have for a wedding destination! I am so excited to be photographing their winter wedding next year at the Lodge at Vail!

As a Colorado mountain wedding photographer, I am lucky enough to photograph Vail weddings often. Ashley contacted me after seeing one of my favorite winter weddings in Vail last year. Ashley and Zach really want a cozy feel to their wedding, and a lot of focus on their guests and family. I absolutely love couples like that because the wedding day is really so much more than the traditions and the events, its about the people! I have no doubt Zach and Ashley will thoroughly enjoy their sentimental, European style, wedding!

Their engagement session in Vail was absolutely stunning! Wild flower season at it’s finest! It’s pretty common lately that somewhere in Colorado is a fire, which in this case was Florissant. We had some thick smoke coming in and out of the horizon sun, causing to variations of light during their session. We ALMOST had an amazing wildfire sunset, but of course a skinny cloud had to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!

I am looking forward to more epic Vail adventures with these two next year!
