Scottsdale Resort Wedding Sneak Peek

 

2018 has been my first year opening up my services as an Arizona wedding photographer for Scottsdale and surrounding resort wedding, and goodness it is off to a beautiful start! I am excited the this fall/winter when I get to come back for some more Arizona beauty! Apparently, the high winds followed me from Colorado and brought in wind and clouds for my other Arizona Wedding work causing me to reschedule, and Pamela and Ken’s wedding portraits was a bit too late in the evening to catch a sunset. BUT as you can see, this wedding was dreamy even without the sun! We had beautiful Cabanas, Flowers, and Cactus instead!

Pamela and Ken celebrated their wedding day at the Scottsdale Doubletree by Hilton Paradise Valley after a sweet ceremony at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Phoenix. There were a lot of moving parts to this beautiful wedding  to make it a dream day for Ken and Pamela. My favorite part was the traditional Nigerian ceremony performed at the reception. Ken and his family are from Nigeria and what made for such a colorful and festive wedding day. As Ken’s father explained, a Nigerian ceremony starts with the bride retrieving wine and blessings from her father and must search out the man whom she agreed to marry in a crowd of people. Once she finds him she presents the wine to her husband and they dance together. If her family likes their dance, they are to be showered in money!!

My other favorite part, and this may come as a shocker, is that Pamela is 7 months pregnant with their baby boy! Pamela is SO beautiful, with the most beautiful smile and the sweetest, most supple, baby bump. She was simply radiant in her gorgeous gown, and watching her dance in her  Nigerian dress was mesmerizing. Ken is also one of the nicest, most genuine, people I had ever met. His smile and laugh is contagious! Ken and Pamela are both pharmacists so we can all say with confidence they are creating the happiest, most beautiful, and incredibly smart baby!
