Some couples you meet for the first time and you just know it was meant to be. I first met Tyler and Lillian downtown at Loyal Coffee were we shared some laughs, talked about puppies, and drooled over the taco buffet they were planning for their Colorado Springs Brewery Wedding.
This Ivywild School wedding was filled with God, love, and simply good people. My second shooter Kate (with Kate’s Lens Photography) and I had so much fun at this wedding. I have been to Bristol Brewery Co. many a time and have never had the pleasure to photograph a wedding there… holy fermenters! We didn’t even care that is was pouring cats and dogs outside and had to shoot only indoors. The urban beer barrels and soft lighting made this place a dream to photograph the lovely bride and groom in.
Lillian’s smiles and easy laughter with her sisters was so beautiful. But I particularly love the way Tyler glowed when he saw his teary eyed bride for the first time at their first look. There was a moment during the reception where I noticed Lillian standing still behind me while everyone was getting lost with each other on the dance floor. I look back at her and edged her to join when she smiles to look at me and says “These are my people, you just have to take a moment sometimes to take it all in, you know?”
