What do chicken and waffles have to do with a beautiful, classic Colorado outdoor wedding?
Brunch, that’s what!
Rachel and Caleb had a gorgeous Evergreen Lakehouse wedding in the morning complete with sunshine, mimosas, a few tears, and a light breeze that picked up Rachel’s veil. It flowed beautifully around her as they said their vows, and I cannot have been more honored to spend the day with them.
They celebrated the day with Starbucks, laughter, and plenty of emotion as they got ready in a beautiful VRBO filled with natural light. As the morning got moving, they shared a private first look, private vows, and I got to spend lots of time with them on romantic portraits using the trees and lake as the backdrop.
I absolutely adore Rachel & Caleb and cannot wait to share their beautiful Colorado wedding with you!
Rachel & Caleb just might be the sweetest couple EVER. Their Evergreen wedding had some positively gorgeous classic details including lace, a little sparkle, and a color palette of champagne, ivory, and navy blue. Absolute perfection for a lakeside wedding!
Rachel & Caleb chose simple and classic floral design using roses and babies breath.
Starbucks was had for all while Rachel and her girls got ready at a gorgeous VRBO filled with natural light.
Getting ready on your wedding day at a VRBO is one of the best hidden secrets out there. VRBO properties allow you to stay with friends and family, enjoy time in a cozy space that may include upgraded amenities, and have TONS of room to move around and find beautiful natural light for all of your photos.
I couldn’t resist throwing my own coffee in too, I thought it was hilarious haha!
I always love when the wedding party has matching robes. They are fun, beautiful, a great keepsake, and perfect for photos!
The back of Rachel’s Lace wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous. So unique with the open back and button closure.
Rachel was so sweet with her flower girl.
One last makeup touchup before their private first look!
Rachel & Caleb chose to see each other before their Evergreen Lakehouse Ceremony. I absolutely LOVED how they wanted this moment to be private, and how they shared private vows together.
I was trying really hard not to cry, but then they both started crying!
One of the best parts about doing a first look (the beautiful private moment aside), is extra time to spend with the wedding party before the ceremony. Loving this awesome black and white wedding party photo at the Evergreen Lake House!
How amazing is this! A newsboy passing out the wedding program, a custom ‘newspaper’ with highlights about Rachel & Caleb.
The views at the Evergreen Lakehouse are so beautiful.
Their Evergreen Lakehouse Wedding ceremony details included lanterns and a focus on the mountains and sunshine.
The breeze picked up and tossed Rachel’s veil around. I find this so beautiful and romantic!
Married at last!
After the ceremony we spent some time on romantic portraits around the Evergreen Lakehouse.
A short walk from the wedding venue offers a fresh perspective of the Lakehouse. Wedding guests mingled on the dock while Rachel and Caleb enjoyed some time together on this beautiful sunny day.
The reception inside of the Lake house was decorated in ivory and navy blue, with lanterns and romantic white florals.
The Evergreen Lake House has vaulted beam ceilings, chandeliers, moss rock, and tons of charm.
I just love the way both of them look at each other in this photo of their first dance inside the Lakehouse. There is so much love here!
What is it that you love the most about your groom-to-be?
His heart for God. Because of his solid faith, he treats all people how God commands us to. He is kind, patient, and forgiving.
Share a short little story about how you met 🙂
We met at our freshman picnic the first week of college. Caleb says that he first talked to me in the line to get burgers but I had no interest in him (I don’t remember this). Maybe a half hour later he came up to me and my group of suite-mates and sat down next to me. We talked for a while about where we are from and what we were studying. Since that first meeting I knew that he was different than any other guy that I met. He was direct and sweet.
Rachel & Caleb chose bundt cakes for their wedding desserts.
Wedding guests danced the night away!
I cannot say enough how sweet Rachel & Caleb are. This Evergreen Lakehouse wedding was perfection in it’s simplicity and true focus on LOVE!
