Colorado Winter Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographer

I absolutely love being a Colorado Mountain Wedding Photographer. I can’t say how much I enjoy new experiences out in nature, creating beautiful things with beautiful people. It is also a great excuse to jump in the car and discover new places in our beautiful state. Colorado will never cease to amaze me! A few months ago I got to explore some more of Colorado and collaborate with some fellow artists for this styled shoot in Ward, CO. Brainard Lake is notorious for its frozen over water surfaces, and powdery tails for snow shoeing and biking. So what better place for a wedding shoot than on top of a frozen lake?

Being a wedding photographer in Colorado, I have had my fair share of unexpected and less than ideal weather. I’ve learned to adapt and always have umbrellas, boots, bandaids, plastic bags, and the occasional emergency deodorant. In the case of this shoot, we were not prepared for the blistering cold and high winds. I must give extra props to the couple as, obviously, they didn’t have the same luxury as us to dress as Eskimos. Not only did they endure the intense weather, they looked darn good doing it!! These two are actually engaged and by the way they looked at each other, I am not sure they even noticed the snow blowing into their faces!

Thank you to the wonderful vendors who made this beautiful shoot happen!
